What is Diluted Earnings Per Share

Diluted Earnings per share or Diluted EPS is different from normal earning per share because Diluted Earnings per share includes all shares which are outstanding like shares which are due for conversion like convertible warrants, convertible preference shares and so on. In other words Diluted EPS would always be less than EPS because it includes all the shares, which is not the case while calculating EPS.
