Formula of ROI

Any individual who is doing investment would want to know the return he or she has earned on that investment and to calculate that return ROI is used. Full form of ROI is return on investment, given below is the ROI formula –

Selling price of asset – Cost price of that asset/ Cost price of that asset

The above will give percentage of profit (in case of positive figure) or loss (in case of negative figure) which an individual has earned or lost on an asset
